Every quote is written and itemised: the base work, the frame system, the roof specification, the glazing units, doors, vents and electrics, so you know exactly what you're paying for before any work starts.

What a proper job looks like

A conservatory is only as good as its base and its roof. The base needs proper foundations, a damp-proofed floor build-up and drains dealt with honestly. The roof needs a named system with glazing bars rated for the span, glass specified for the aspect, and flashing against the house that will still be watertight in ten winters. Any quote worth accepting specifies all of it, names the frame system and its guarantee, and includes the certification paperwork at the end.

Our advice before hiring anyone: confirm public liability insurance, insist on an itemised written quote, ask to see a finished conservatory locally, and get the guarantee and certification commitments in writing. Any firm that won't do those four things isn't worth your money.
